Friends Of The Castle Hill RSL Youth Band

Since its formation in 1992, the youth Band (formerly the City of Sydney Youth Band) has had an exciting musical history. It has provided high quality banding experience for hundreds of young musicians.

Strong support is consistently shown to the band by all who hear them play as well as their family and friends.

In recognition of this, in 1995, it was decided to formally develop Friends of the Youth Band to provide an avenue to extend individual’s support for the band.

AIMS

- To provide regular (quarterly) newsletters - “Music Matters”
- To provide a strong support base for the band.
- To promote the band’s profile.
- To extend the band’s musical communication.
- To encourage participation of Friends by association with the band.
- To keep Friends informed of playouts and events.
- To provide an opportunity for tangible support.

Since 1995 the band has had a wonderful group of Friends. Their support has covered many administration and communication expenses.
